The Garden State Pops Youth Orchestra is a youth orchestra serving the Southern New Jersey region. Its focus is as a symphony orchestra, serving the general community, with music whose literature is taken from Broadway, Movie Scores, Popular Music, and Popular Classical Music. The members of the orchestra are trained in the study and performance of this literature as a means of broadening their understanding and appreciation for this unique musical genre, as well as preparing them for either a career or in a lifelong appreciation of this musical style.
